I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this but anyway.........I have heard rumors that the newest Standard restored by Rhinebeck volunteers was damaged in a crash. Is this true? If so, details would be appreciated. If not, I will humbly crawl back down my gopher hole with tail appropriately placed.

Wolfenbill,
Don't crawl down your gopher hole yet... The New Standard did get pranged at Oshkosh, but the extent of damage is unknown to me. Now I was at the Aerodrome this past weekend and saw a New Standard on the opposite end of the field, but I'm not sure if it was the same plane. It did look airworthy, though. The NTSB had a bit on it in it's reports for July, so you might want to go check it out.

Thanks Lyle, I'll definitely check it out. If you ever get down Texas way, come check us out at the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome.
