Hello! I saw a photograph on page 132 of "The HG Panzer Division" by Alfred Otte that depicts General der Flieger
Friedrich Christiansen with officers of the HG Training and Replacement Regiment in the Netherlands. In this photo, he is clearly displaying the German Cross in Silver/Gold on his right breast. There is no mention of this award in Karl-Friedrich Hildebrand's "Die Generale der Deutschen Luftwaffe, 1935-1945, Band 1" or in Horst Scheibert’s "Die Träger des Deutschen Kreuzes in Gold und Deutschen Kreuzes in Silber." Does anyone have any details concerning this award to Christiansen during World War II?
