Rickenbacker's last two victories were on Oct 30, 1918, a Fokker (exact type not stated, but presumably a D.VII), and a balloon.

Frank,
Just to run something by you since I was on this time line.
Oct. 30,1918 EVR Destroyed Fokker at St. Juvin 16:35 & balloon @ Remonville @ 16:40
Weir Cooks last was same date, destroyed 1 near Chaumont-de-vant-Danvillers @8:30.

Heres my question: What were they doing from Oct. 30,1918 to June 2,1919. My sheet doesn't go on from there of Eddie?
What would LVG's mean?
JC

LVG was the initials of Luft-Verkehrs Gesellschaft m.b.H., a German aircraft manufacturer. Mostly they made recon and bomber types. I don't know of any LVG fighters.

The LVG E-VI was noteworthy as the first German two seater (monoplane) to have both a ring mounted gun for the observer and a fixed forward firing gun for the pilot (1915). It only came out as a prototype.

Sorry, I can't answer your other question.

VBR,

Al Lowe

Thanks Al,
I asked because on Oct 30th It said Weir Cook attacked 3 LVG's & succeeded in destroying one.
This made me wander what he was after & I was wandering how fast or powerful they were.
Now I can get my answer.
