Hi Regulus

Lt dR MA Hans Block(O) served in SFS II(Ostende) at least from 13 Nov 1917 until he died in sickness(phnenomia) in hospital on 20 July 1918.

It most be a record long time for receiving the Beobachterabzeichen on 5 July 1918 after a 8th month long active service... ???

There are something "fuzzy" about Wladickas victories(as well with Christiansen) as the so called "April" list of confirmed victories by the German Marine flyers published in Mittelungen aus dem Gebiete des Luftkrieges Nr 27 dated Berlin 13 April 1918 already have Wladicka with two victories that day...

Both victories are noted as shared with Christiansen as pilot..!

One conclusion could be that the Airship C I7 on 11 December 1917 was "disputed" and later confirmed to another crew.. ???
...and perhaps also the victory on 15 Febr was disputed in some way..?

If so... it certainly also reduce the victories of Christiansen to maximum three at this stage.... :-/.......do you have any ideas..?

Hi Gunnar,

I know that Christiansen and Wladika had another victory on the 18th July 1918. I found a loose paper on it in the KTB at Freiburg, stating that this was Christiansen's official 5th and Wladika's 2nd ! It was a Short seaplane in grid 1305K over the North Sea. Bizarr !
