Here are some of the highlights:

After his crash in 1941 in Georgia, US. It was custom for Eddie to host a party before the Indianapolis 500 mile race. A small dinner party for Indiana men, who covered the race & events. At this time Eddie was lying on his back in an Atlanta, hospital. Having been one of those seriously injured from the plane crash where eight died. From his hospital bed he attended the party by phone. Talking to each & everyone. Eddie said: "It made me think serious of life, service and death."

He goes on to tell them "I don't have to tell you that I have been a rough and tumble guy and never gave or asked a quarter. But..." then he gives his view of why he is still here today. Wayne also goes on in his article how Eddie Rickenbacker became..... as told to him.
