Any tips on how to open the base up? Has anyone tried? I've tried removing all the screws, but I can't get it to pop open. I'm afraid to break it. Is there spot I need to pry at? Thanks for any help. I should just get another joystick. But my wife has been giving me strange looks over recent radio control purchases. So, I'd better attempt a repair first.
I use basic joysticks. My old Sidewinder was getting very sluggish. I did try to open it up but has the same problem as you. So for $30 AUD I bought a new Thrustmaster. I am still trying to get used to how feely it moves.

I would not waste my time trying to fix it. They are made to be thrown away after a time.
