Udet is wrong in his memoirs. Hänisch was shot down one day later on 26 May 1918. It is almost impossible to say for sure who got him but S/Lt. L.Milliat, Esc.N 80, claimed an enemy aircraft at unknown time over german held territory that day near Neuville-Chermizy. His claim was not confirmed by the french authorities...
