OK, the picture of the new Fokker D.VII is very small ...
... but it seems that the burning Spad on the right side is "without pilot" while the parachute of the pilot "without aircraft" opens on the left side. The scene gives the impression that pilot and plane belonged together just a few seconds before this snapshot. Am I wrong - a French pilot of WW1 with a parachute?!?
