Blowhard your DR1 still looks nice to me "eye of the beholder" I guess. I would think that oils would give a good effect and I remember those being discussed previously. I would rather work with acrylics instead of oils or enamels for this effect though.

Eric I believe the thread you posted was the one I remember.
I just purchased some 4 color lozenge upper and lower from Mr Stephen Lawson great site by the way and good prices!
I am going to build Wenzel's DVII from Jasta 6.
A N.28 is going to accompany the DVII as well

I will let you know how it comes out I have few models to finish before I get to the DVII. Maybe I will set those aside and start on this. I usually like to build straight out of the box. The DVII is an old Monogram from what I remember as a kid that was a fun one to build!
