There is a larger foto of this a/c in Osprey D.VII aces.
One of the better values of this particular foto is a good view of the underside of the aircraft. I believe there are three of this one, crashed near hangars. Best look I know of an early D.VII delivered to a frontline unit.

In any case, D.VIIs do not have tapes on ailerons or stab. Eduard depicts all 12 variations in the latest kit as such, OAW tapes. Quick glance at fotos proves otherwise.
