The PIPE here once more...I made my room reservations for the ORA RC event back in April, JUST before I went in for my LEFT hip replacement operation back on the 13th of that month...and here it is , TWO months having passed since that new hip got "installed"...can't WAIT to go!
TMoth4, I TRULY can't wait to see YOUR Hannoveraner "in the flesh"...just recently I MIGHT have convinced Seth Hunter to think about using one of the new FOUR stroke gasser Giant Scale engines in his "a-building" Pfalz D IIIa...I just do NOT want to see him RUIN the Pfalz's sleek nose contours with a more conventional "two stroke" gasser that demands a HOLE in the nose for its side mounted carb! One engine I mentioned to him, at
http://www.rcshowcase.com/html/engines/rcs45vt.html . would be a GREAT one for that Pfalz of his...even if it would have to be saved for to purchase it...!!!
My Olympus C-770 digital camera AND my 1980 vintage Pentax "film burner" will be there with me, clicking LOTS of pics, and if I can save up for one of the Pentax "*ist-D" series of digital camera BODIES, for a purchase early in 2007 (to use with my film burner's lenses...the Pentax "Star-Ist-D" digital SLRs DO take the K-mount lenses) I'll be going ALL digital for 2007..!!!
And MORE work on getting a real "modeler's workshop" will be going on later this year...haven't had A REAL workshop since 1989...and getting TWO hips replaced over the last six years (my right one got replaced in June 2000) HAS slowed that workshop's coming by QUITE a bit...!
STILL looking forward to Old Rhinebeck, though...
...at least for the RC models !!!
