Greetings Fee 2b; The reason some people do has a lot to do with the fact that literally all of our photos are in black and white. *Back in the late sixites the IPMS USA Judges seemed to shun build that had bright or silver coloured rigging. Of course black isn't right either but because we use brass in a lot of our builds people started using hobby black or running their monofilament over a permanent black ink marker. *I like smoke coloured monofilament. *On the spool it looks gun metal coloured.
