OTOH, did you know that potato salad can be used as handy filler for wing roots and other large joins? The Good Herr Doktor mentions it being used in Germany during the 1920's inflation when no-one could afford the cost of putty (See Vol XVII The Collected Works of The Good Herr Doktor K. Von Humbrol, Ch 7 "The Weimar Years"; M.O.D.E.L. 2001).
