One would have thought HRH would have been naturally drawn to these regal figures (except for the Cromwell perhaps?) but no, it was the 1/72 Bristol Blenheim. Whilst the reasons weren't exactly clear why this was (there are things you don't ask HRH), my theory was, after seeing her collection of 127 Blenheims and other Airfix products was that she was originally working her way through the entire Airfix catalogue, from Series 1 on. She had made a good fist of it until she encountered the Blenheim.

As usual the canopy and front transparency did not fit and being a commendably determined modeller HRH was determined to turn out a credible Blenheim. After five kits, AMS symptoms were beginning to appear. By ten kits she was suffering from an obsessive variant of full blown AMS.

Lucky we got there in time!

Also I detect near silence on the cursed problem of CMAS?

Is everyone too ashamed to admit it?
