These are fantastic ideas! Just what I was looking for. I've built over a dozen 1:48 WWI aircraft models with electric motors. [But can't keep the kids from wanting to play or touch them.] I'm thinking scenes of preflight checks, or on the line ready for takeoff, or flareout before landing, even in the clouds with panoramic backdrop and some movement of the aircraft. The radio cases have so much charm, utility, and potential.

It will cost less, take less time, and its components will just barely fit in my workshop.
