Hi all,

Just to add to what Taz posted. Fred had a CAT scan and his brain is fine, no back injuries, no broken legs or arms. It appears his right side took most of the impact with his ribs and lung coming out on the worst of it. They are not allowing him to speak due to his lung, but all sounds very good.

Rick Bennett was flying in his plane when Fred had his troubles. Nothing known at this time, but Rick suspects the motor may have stopped for some reason causing him to go into a spin. Rick's wife Donna, and Fred's life companion Marsha were at the scene and could only find Fred with the aid of Rick circling overhead the crash. As you can see in the photo he came down exactly at the edge of a corn field with his prop in the trees and his tail in the corn. He was coherent at the crash suffering from the ribs and lung.

I told Donna we were all thinking of him and had him in our prayers and to pass on the good words. I expect to see him flying his Dr.I at the Dawn Patrol!
