Good to hear the Voss figure is on its way Stephen, we may be able to hook up a bit of a photo opportunity

Progress was good over the weekend, I got the top wing on and the rigging done - the top wing posed no problems going on, I went with attaching the interplane struts first, followed by the cabane struts, which have a little more flexibility with their location points. The wing join was quite fragile until all of the struts were glued on and reinforced with superglue. Pinning the joins may be better, but I decided against it as the struts are so thin. I am still a little scared about the top wing joint, the wing is heavy in this scale and the struts are so thin, I am worried about a strut busting! I think I will start looking for a source for airfoil shaped brass for struts...

I also managed to paint the prop as well (which also had some pretty mean sink holes in it that needed filling)... I tried the technique of masking and spraying the laminations, then going over the top with a wood grain - I think it turned out ok and is definatley a technique worth exploring. Let me know what you all think?
