I'm in the heretical camp with Michael (the other one). I'm not detail-minded enough to worry about the accuracy of a kit (I think I even have one of the dreaded Glencoe Albatri). For me it's the nostalgia that counts.

So -- even though it's been nearly two decades since I worked on a model -- I continue to hold on to a collection of about 200 unbuilt kits, including a handful of the Aurora 1/48s. I have the Bif, but to my regret do not have the Gotha or the Halberstadt. (And my DH-10 was thrown out long ago, sad to say.)

Speaking of inaccuracies, I have a very old Frog Shackleton whose skin rivets must be almost six (scale) inches high...
