Here is an image of the trailing edge of the J1 in Canada. While this is at the join betwen the aileron and wing, the centre section is the same.
I am curious about the windsock review stating a convolute edge on the D.1 and not one like this.
It's interesting that the panels appear to be stamped as opposed to rolled like corugated tin siding.
