Thanks for the kind words guys! It was all of your encouragement that kept me going on this build during those frustrating times when it was looking like the kit was going to end up in the bin!
John - The grass is the stuff you find at model railway stores just applied in small tufts at the intersections between planks. The application was quite straight forward - I grabbed some small tufts with my tweezers dipped the ends into some superglue, and applied to the base. I would then use the tweezers to fashion the shape of the tufts - not all of it sticks, but enough to get the effect across
