Actually nothing regarding Hipperts (your plane). My Bad.
The final answer came in another thread but it wasn't regarding
Hippert's but Hantleman's (Death's Head) DVII. I should be more careful with my writing. I was writing and not thinking, a common sin of mine. On Hantleman's DVII the top of the tail plane was apparently a thin blue but the bottom was left in Lozenge. I apologize.
I am curious now about the bottom of the Hantleman DVII we have in the hangar. I (and others) where moving it around in the hangar so we could move some of the Model T's out for inspection, but I never leaned over to look at the bottom of the tailplane to see if the Museum volunteers painted it blue or left it Lozenge.
