I'd be curious to know what happened to this He-162. Pictures was take in Columbus, IN during a Victory Parade in 1945.
Freeman Field is located in Seymour, IN (20 mi. S), and was used extensively for testing captured Axis aircraft. Bigger than Wright Patterson AFB I've been told. Guy I used to work for who grew up in Seymour recalled seeing German jets flying around when he was a boy, but thought it was an ME-262 that he saw.
