Terry- glad to hear that you get your sample kit. Finaly I am not alone here and hope you will display soon your build.

Hi Steve- in general paint when very fresh look the same on metal, wood and fabric. Due to the surface preparation both wood and fabric have smooth surface as metal. But difference coming in time when paint become fade.

The same engine cowling could be something like that and also we should know that this is heated element as well engine is just under it. So changes of color are more prominent. It is definitely consider when I have place this subject. Most important at all is two details. First small area just behind the cowling, on metal panel atop the fuselage is also show the same changes and it feature very precise geometrical shape [I will prepare extract of image later]! Also please note that cowling of Voss airplane feature identical difference in the shade of cowling compared with the fuselage green and strut blue color as the Manfred plane.

We definitely have what to analyze here. I work very expencive model and I have no time and resource to make mistakes. So I would gladly discus here about this. I have some two days before cowling get into the position for final coat. It is i basic green color now.

Cheers
