Oh all you pilot snobs out there Nobody likes my Snoopy pilot!

I am thinking about getting a scale pilot, either a bust (Aces of Iron) or a full body (no clue where to find one).

I had a great flight with it today, our club has tuesday morning breakfast and flying (retired guys and selfemployed like me) so I had an audience for a flight today. There was a stiff breeze (12-15mph) right down the runway so it had a 10foot run before it lifted off, that was kind of hairy as I expected it to fall out of the sky if the wind died quick. The Zenoah G62 has a ton of power though so there was very little actual danger. The landing was excellent, the sprung gear worked to perfection and really looked scale on touchdown. I am very happy with the result.

On a sadder note, I had a catastrophic tiedown failure on the way home, the fuse came loose and slid sideways in to the wing rack. The top wing has some ugly damage to the trailing edge. Its an easy two hour fix but just annoying that I finally felt finished with the plane and need to do non flying related damage

By the way, I do indeed have my own runway on the farm, but it is narrow and in the middle of a cow field. It is good for small to mid sized planes, usually just to test out a modification or two. I really prefer to fly with other people.
