Greetings Jamo;
I can confirm the presence of 5 separate colours here and add the reminder from the website that this sheet fits certain colours used ". . .for all German Night Fighter, Bomber and Reconnaissance Aircraft in service after January 1918. These include Friedrichshafen, Gotha, A.E.G., LVG, SSW, Hannover and Albatros built Staaken aircraft. These sheets are also applicable to Staaken 'L' Planes 8202 and 8203.. . ."
I also agree that this would have to be occassions where the lozenges were painted on the finished airframes parts NOT the factory printed fabric. There is no repeat except on the long edges to match sheet applications for area that the decal mybe cut too short for the areas it was fitted for.
The quotation above is from page 1 here. As for the colour intrepretations I'll leave that for Derry Fitzgerald to explain. By the way I have no financial connection to the production of these sheets and have only been asked to review them and their use on plastic kits.
