yup the Airfix Bristol Fighter 1980 kit is the one I am doing, I shall try your suggestion for the prop boss thanks
I am building it as "D" from the Shuttleworth collection, I am not sure about the details of the WW1 aircraft it represents if anyone could shed some light on the Origanal D's exploits during the Great War I would be delighted
