Hi, Brian,

I've never heard of this before at all. By that time, IIRC, the red cross on a white field was the accepted symbol of the Red Cross movement, and so would not be used by a belligerent on operational equipment such as aircraft. I could be wrong (it has happened in the past, believe me!), but I am certain that Goering's aircraft carried black crosses only.
