Knights of the Sky is a completely original flight simulation title, being developed using its own proprietory game engine, with terrain, sky environments, 3D objects, AI behavior, crew animation routines, damage modeling, weapon animation, gun ballistics, mission editor, single-player scenarios, multi-unit campaigns, and online multiplayer component all being featured and tailored for the WWI combat experience.

The simulation platform is expandable, so new features, 3D content, missions, and supporting code can be added through new modules in the future, so in this respect the game will have legs, and the hope is to have the sim continue to grow in the years after the its initial release.
