Greetings all; due to my travelling about today I got to go out to the Lafayette Foundation archive.

The incident above is indeed listed in the 147th Aero Sqdn log book. There were 4 men on patrol at approx. 6:30pm. Brotherton and Brosnan at 1500m and Jones and Porter at 600m. It was the latter two that saw the formation above them at 1000m (approx.) The same comments are copied in the daily text. ". . .Leader was all-white with what looked like red crosses?. . ."

Though Göring's Schwerin built machine was NOT the only white Fokker D.VII on the western front. We do have images of an all-white Alb. built Fok. D.VII in the hands of the 9th Aero post war.
