Matt, ".....Some limited flying was done from Kilwa Kiswani early in January 1917 but the increasingly waterlogged state of the airfield forced both the 26 Sqn RFC and 7 Sqn RNAS to store their Voisins and return to the coast, leaving the dismantled machines to be cared for by a small rear party. Operations from Kilwa would not recommence until May 1917 – once the airfield had dried out......."
