WF2, According to the book,

Austro-Hungarian Army Aircraft Of world War One, "the 30.40 was proposed for production by Thone & Fiala. But until the supply of Voltol was assured, the LFT was forced to exclude the rotary-engined fighter from further consideration". The 30.40 was built to meet "interceptor requirements" and only weighed 1292lbs fully loaded. It must have been a pretty good aircraft.

Hi Koloman, glad you are looking in. Sorry my workmanship will be no match for yours. Hope you like my model when it's finished. BTW, do you agree that the tail skid of the 30.40 would be like that of the D1? I can not see it well enough in the photo's but it seems other Aviatik prototypes (30.27, 30.30) used the same type tail skid as the D1. Cheers.
