Okay, I went back at it a bit. Got the hinges set on the ailerons then dry fit them to the wing. I've got the major structures dry fit (held together with Painters tape obviously).


One of the things I discovered is that the Cabane wires need to be bent forward at the top. They're supposed to be canted back to bring the Upper Wing back far enough to engage the V struts properly.

I've really got to get over it and put the radio gear in somewhere. I'm not sure if moving the servos back from the cockpit area would be a good idea due to CG. From what I've read the D V has tail heavy issues to begin with. It should be interesting with all the 1/32 ply on it too. But the HS-55s are pretty damn light too. Hmmm....
