Butch....Hi Pete ,thanks......Most of these bits are from 'Dural' bar , ...The Cone type pieces ( as later ) were originaly spinnings , but as there was only one "Rudder" pivot cone & two of the 1st rudder pully cones , then it was more economical to machine these from the solid billets........The 1st Elevator pulley ? "Pylons " , (which follow)..were originaly dural forgings...These I cut out of 3" square dural bar by drillling , & sawing ,followed by fileing etc. ...Note that the pulleys are at an included angle to each other...Cover & side plates later hold "red fibre" fair lead blocks for the control cables....These Pulley assemblies fit on the Top Centre Section..rear spar , and pick up cables from the primary levers ,(which pass thru the top C/S.) and redirect them towards the tail.(via 2nd set of pulleys on the outriggers ).....Regards..John.
