It's true that content is rather bare bones at this point, but I totally understand what the devs have been working on all this time. The vids and screens don't convey what it is like to fly these crates. What they have been working on is a game engine that delivers the most convincing simulation of actual flight than any game I have ever played. It is really quite an achievement and can only be experienced when you actually fly this sim.

In addition to the flight model the areas where this sim really shines is in the models of the planes themselves, the damage model, and the geography you fly over. All this is done on a level that brings RoF in a class of its own. No other WW1 combat flight sim even approaches what Neoqb has done here.

Honestly I can't comment on the missions that the game does have because I haven't flown any LOL! I have been totally consumed just training in my SPAD and taking some practice rounds with the Fly Now portion of the game, trying out the other planes.

Overall my impression of RoF is that we have the most exciting offering in the WW1 air combat genre since Red Baron. Even though it is not wholly fleshed out it is still a blast to fly and I can only see it getting better from here.
