I think this is a very rare piece. Pictures of observation balloons are mostly taken from the ground or when in flight from the obsevation basket down. Interesting are all the lines, probably connected to winches to get the balloon down in case of emergency (attack !).

Kees...I am banging my head on the table...DUH...DUH.. of course it is a german balloon! I think the picture is a great one. Felt lucky to have actually won it.
