Hi Greg, Hope your Hospital 'detention' was nothing too worrying mate!
If your aim is to duplicate all the metal fittings, as per full size, you will unquestionably fall into the trap of excess weight!
Also --in 1/3rd scale you have VERY limited room up front to replicate cockpit and nose internal detail/fittings--and still find space for fuel tank etc.-----on mine, even with servos under pilots seat---i still had to 'blank off' ---cut short, the forward detail with a sheet of ply, painted black, from just (just) behind rudder bar, sloping up and backwards, to just behind instrument panel-----and the very fact of having servos behind C/G meant that lead, in copious amounts, had to be bolted to firewall. That was keeping the back end ultra light!!!!---Can't imagine 1/4 scale being any better though ! With 'scale' metal fittings back there---well----lot's of extra weight my friend----and you might be surprised at how much weight the covering and details on the outside add....
The Camel is (short moment) not forgiving of rearward C/G--regardless of Mick's statement on the plans! I think you're wish for that kind of internal accurracy might falter---as did mine---on the unforgiving altar of 'flyability'.
But, all of this apart, I wish you the best of luck Greg.
Dave.
