So, the progress so far. Wide shot to show the grain & panel lines. I'm going to, now, make the
functional tail skid I was thinking about & should have done long before this point.
Close up of motor & dummy prior to getting both situated fully. The firewall still needs some work
to get the thrust lines right.
Closer look at the dummy from side...
& top. The theory is to attach the guide dowl of the dummy to the cowling & glue the forward
cylinder to what's left of the firewall. It should give some stability to the cowl and, if needed
after balancing, come off as a unit.
Cowl in need of a bit of filler...
& a bit more internal structure.
I'm still a bit worried on the power front. I guess I'll have to wait till it's finished to really calculate
but this set up should allow me to replace the motor & ESC if I really need to. Currently the set up
is 18 A ESC, 370 geared motor, & 2S 1300 MaH battery. Does that sound like it'll work? Got to find
a scale somewhere....
