I think that they were recycled as you say-Anyway the fact that they were exposed gave the good opportunity to have a lot of photos and postcards of ww1 german aircraft ,(and incidentally useful for crash file challenge..)

Thanks! I found the Nancy site you mentioned a few days after i posted "Two more postcards" (section: "Memorabilia") which includes a postcard (Gotha shot down by Guyenemer) that i bought at a zurich fleamarket. check it out! By the way, the postcard cost me 25 Francs (Suisse), ca. 17 Euros.
