I think the Sanke card production stopped after wwi but the pictures Sankes publishing company used were partially official photographs partially by external photographers.... Some of these were used as propaganda cards later such as the cards published by the NSFK. So my guess is the card you saw with the name obliterated is either a non Sanke copy of a Sanke card (there were actual blatant copies in circulation as early as wwi called Kriegskarten) Or a later usage of the same photogrraphic material by another publishing company.
