Bowden levers

Bowder levers were all made by simple hand methods and old fashioned machining methods , from steel bar ...( See my earlier thread " My Be2b Reproduction " for more details and sketches , ..Posts 55 , & 61-66 . )
The twin cable types are used for .."Ignition advance / retard "on LH side , .." Engine Throttle " fitted to control column , ...and " Altitude Compensator " on the RH side ....Also , slightly ahead of this ,on the right side is positioned the Single cable, pull-only , "Radiator Shutter-Open / close "; This particular lever has a ratchet around its circumference , on which a thumb released detent operates ...Two springs within telescopic tubes , and the airstream act to provide the ballencing force from the radiator shutter lever....JM
