1911 Curtiss Ely Model D-IV Update
The photos show the nosewheel fork and diagonals, the main gear tire and wheel with the initial trial mock-up of the Cessna 150 Cleveland brakes. Note the initial placement of the rudder pedal bar, the control stick and seat frame. The Continental sits about 5" higher than the OX-5, mostly due to the motor mounts used, but also so the carb box clears the top of the lower wing panel. All these pieces had to be suspended in free air, basically, so I could finalize cut dimensions for the diagonals, the seat, and all the myriad steel tube struts and braces located in the center section.
