OK here we are still moving along ever so slowly....but moving along...hmmm I wonder if I can make the November 14 target date????
Just a few more shots of the fuselage/wings/tail assembly nothing is glued yet except of course the wings to fuselage.....
Lower Vickers still needs a few bits added....
Prep-ed photo-etched parts after a dip in Blacken it....The photo with flash makes these look very dark....the fittings are very dark, but the spoked wheels are almost a silvery metallic color (you can alter the color by the time left in the solution) But one word of caution as I found out the hard way DO NOT LEAVE your etched parts in the solution longer than the recommended time as it will eat it away............Blacken it & Patina it can be found at any good Model Train shop & maybe even online....even if you plan to paint your photo-etched parts it makes for a great base for the paint to stick to!
