I should have mentioned that I grew up with

Billy Bishop as a particular hero and I have copies of his book and his son's biography of him. I used to build models of all the classic WW1 aircraft and have read a fair bit of the history of those times - but it was all a while ago. My research in the past couple of years has mostly been WW2. My father was also RCAF, 1943-1945, in Bomber Command.
