I've got two:-

One from Blackadder goes forth (Captain Flashart on the Great War)- "Don't you think I get tired of this war...the mud, the blood....the endless poetry!"

The other from the 1988 mini-series 'Piece of Cake' where Kellaway, the adjutant, comments on his experiences from WW1...."Back then, it was just Pot your Hun, then bugger off home before his pals turned up!"

My all-time favourite quote, and I know it has nothing to do with WW1 aviation but I can't resist adding it, was when the famous British abstract sculptor Henry Moore was showing some of his recent works to a visiting writer. Pointing to a abstract sculpture of a female nude, Moore said, "I had to use a special tool to do her".
To which the writer replied, "So would I"
True story!

The train stopped with a jerk. The jerk got out.

Be alert. The world needs more lerts.

Silence reigned and we all got wet.

I once saw two men walking abreast. What a strange pet to own.
