HI JAY!! it might be the a case of,, Just paint the dam airplane Fritz it's not the MONALISA !! WORK FASTER I DON'T CARE WERE YOU BUT THE LAST HEXES JUST PAINT THE THING !!! the factory Foreman said !! that was fun said Doug!!
lol lol ,, you never know.all we know is some factory used flaten hexs and small hex { this almost looks like lozenge} and some bent out of shape so it could be that some factorys used a helix and others used chevrons. all were hand painted i thank with a stencel and a stencel brush, but i don't know ! but were the hex meats up were the fuselage joins the turtle deck some free handing went on, i seen this in a photo! really i thank they laded out the the pattern first { saw tooth pattern} with a stencel and a pencel { hay that rymes} not paint and then they painted the lighter hexs first and then the next light color next and so on and so no , it looks like the darker pattern was first in the factory photo to me, all i could see was the dark pattern. i noted that the darker colors were every were on the fuselage some were at the nose some you could not see at all .. what do think??
