Before I saw Flyboys I received advice to "park my brain under my seat" and enjoy the movie; it worked. However, there ain't enough room under the seat for this one.
Mind you, I'm not ragging on a movie I haven't seen nor will ever see. I'm just wise enough to avoid something that I know will annoy me from start-to-finish, based on the multi extensive reviews I've read. Not the "I hated this movie" reviews, because I don't base my interests on what others think, but those reviews that detailed the movie's plot. Somewhere on these fora there's a very lengthy review like that and, now that I'm remembering what was written, I concede that if I watched the movie I might derive some comedic pleasure from it. Especially back when I was still bending an elbow.
There's still so much historic WW1 information I've yet to learn that I just don't have time for the mega-fiction.
