I have an old photo that shows the back clamp pretty clearly with the spacer, the clamp around the pump is slightly different as it is centered, not off to one side.
The details on the front one is unclear.
I assume it is mounted at an angle so you can operate the pump without your hand hitting the wires or fabric.
