I don't know if the Avro 504 was aerobatic with two pilots on board, but if it was an extra person would add about 200lbs to the take of weight.
This would slow it down very little. Where this extra weight would impact most is rate of climb, acceleration and service ceiling. For an aerobatic aircraft a good rate of climb and acceleration are essential. Essentially a tight turn is an aerobatic manoeuvre. With an extra 200lbs tight turns would be less tight. I would say aerobatics that is throwing the aircraft around the sky like the Bloody Red Barron was on your tail could be described as a double negative.
