Dear Gwen:
The PIPE Here once more...it's VERY good to hear from you once again, Gwen !
I'm still unemployed, which has been going on now for over 13 months (since mid-September 2008), with eight years of workplace experience on AutoCAD v.13 and 14, and I very recently acquired (late October 2009) a copy of AutoCAD 2009 LT for my needs...the second CAD position interview I had, in August of this year, was a "non-hire" since the most recent version of AutoCAD I've had work experience with was a late-1990s version of it, and the prospective employer was using AutoCAD 2006...
...and their strong suggestion, as to why I didn't get the position they were hiring for, to get a "relatively recent" version of AutoCAD to update my skillset with, like the AutoCAD 2009 LT version I've now got installed on my home PC, to help me get more easily hired in the future, will help me get experience on my home PC with such a "relatively recent" version...
...and in the future of the place we would BOTH love to see "come back", I would welcome the chance to use my CAD skills to assist in re-creating, using vintage photos of ORA's airshows of my own and others, the exact appearance of the set-pieces created and used by Good Old COLE for his weekend airshows !!!
Because of my unemployment, I HAD to miss the 2009 ORA model event...some of my photos from the Sunday RC flying activity during the 2008 ORA RC Jamboree can be found at
The 1st SERIOUS Trial-Vivitar S1 70-210mm with a K100D! - PentaxForums.com ...
...and, in the hoped-for future that we ALL want for our favorite place, when
the current "mangement" has been REMOVED and The Old Guard, that knew Cole HIMSELF, is back in charge, I'm looking forward to using my AutoCAD computer drafting skills to do what I can to help with, to bring back the original Sausage Factory und Gazwerks...just as an example...
...and WHEN I can eventually get back to work with a full-time job, of SOME sort, I'll once again be able to bring my Pentax K100D digital camera to get even MORE photos of ORA RC aeromodeling fun in the future.
Again, it's GREAT to hear from you once more, Gwen...
Yours Sincerely,
The PIPE!
