no, not crayola crayons --- that's are aquarell-crayons.
First basic colour XF-59 Tamiya desert yellow, and than line by line freehand painted the dark brown stripes. When this was done, I used two ore three differend orange, dark yellow ore sand aquarell crayons to shade the area between the dark brown stripes.
